How to book a place in the lecture hall – Student guide

This webpage explains what you need to do to Book a place in the lecture hall.

How can i book?

The following flow chart shows the steps you will be involved in; in order to access the various stages you are reminded to firstly log in, by entering your personal Username and Password (the same ones you use for the MyHunimed app and for accessing MyPortal).

You can access the booking service directly via the following link https://edu.hunimed.eu/timetable or via the MyHunimed app.

If you click on the “Prenota il tuo posto a lezione” (“Book your place for a lecture”) box, you will be redirected to the login page, where you will need to enter your MyPortal credentials.

The following functions are available within this file:

  • New booking: this allows you to directly access the form to use when making new bookings for your place in the lecture hall;
  • My bookings: this allows you to directly access the tab summarising your bookings and download the card needed to access the university facility (QR Code);
  • Manage your profile: this allows you to directly access the tab where your profile can be managed.

The first time you access the “Prenota il tuo posto a lezione” (“Book your place for a lecture”) function, you will only be able to see the Manage your profile tab, which will enable you to select the lectures you would like to attend in the lecture hall. Creating your profile is a compulsory step for gaining access to the other stages of the procedure.

Once a profile has been created, you will be able to make a booking for a place in the lecture hall via the New booking tab.

The system will allow you to use this tab to make a new booking for a place in the lecture hall for the subjects selected in the “Gestisci il tuo profilo” (“Manage your profile”) tab.

If you click on the “Nuova prenotazione” (“New bookings”) tab, you will be redirected to a page with a series of “cards” (cells) where you will find the lectures for the subjects that can be booked from your profile for the current week.

Each “card” specifies the “Day” – “Location” – “Session”.

The Session represents the time slot decided by your university.

There will be a “card” for each Day, Location and Session.

The following information is contained on the card:

  • Subject: the name of the subject with a lecture for which you can book a place;
  • Session: the time when the lecture you may book will be held in the lecture hall;
  • Hall: the hall where the lecture you may book will take place;
  • Assigned place: the number of places that are already booked for this specific lecture and an indication of the places still available in the lecture hall.
  • Notes: Some lectures may also be accompanied by written notes added by the person managing the time slot (for example in the event that a lecture is held in more than one hall, the note might indicate which lecture hall the lecturer will physically be in).

If you click on the “Verifica e prenota il tuo posto” (“Check and book your place”) link, you will immediately be able to book your place in the lecture hall for a specific lecture.

Can i cancell the booking?

The lectures booked can be cancelled at any time via the “>> Annulla la tua prenotazione” (“Cancel your booking”) function – please note that the system does not allow bookings for lectures to be cancelled on the same day as they are held.

In the event that a booking for a place in the lecture hall has been made in advance, for a lecture held on a subsequent day, you will be able to cancel your booking in this section.

If you click on the “>> Annulla la tua prenotazione” link, once confirmation has been given, you will be able to cancel a booking for a place in the lecture hall.

The pop-up window which then appears will confirm that the booking has been successfully cancelled.
